Life After Uni

I didn't realize it would take me so long to write another post. I have been so busy, gosh that sounds like a cliche. We all seem to be too busy to enjoy life because of all the chaos around us.

I have been keeping myself occupied with various creative projects. My niece has just invested in a kitten and it keeps scratching the two triple-seated couches she has. I offered to make ONE throw for her as she has found buying one out of the question as she has just been made redundant. However, I enjoyed making it so much that I have now started my second one. I will post some pictures when I have completed the second one.

The other area I have got into is the various creative yahoo groups out there. It's like being at virtual university, there are loads of fantastically creative people and ideas are exchanged and questions are answered. I have been lurking on most sites since July but I have finally decided to join in the fun. The group is called, 'Absolutely Everything Swap Central' and I am sending in my three ATCs in with the theme of fairy tales. I have to say this is my first attempt at ATCs and I have thoroughly enjoyed them.

Additional to this I am getting ready for 'Lustre', a prestigious contemporary craft fair starting on the 8th November 2008. I have been selected to be one of the 'Young Meteorites', this is for new graduates starting out and only ten are selected so I feel honoured. There is so much to prepare. Apart from developing new work, I will have to write a press release, organize business cards, postcards, packaging, price lists and so forth. Quite a scary prospect.
